The company won't sponsor H1B

I got a job offer from a company located in CA, but the company won't sponsor H1B. What can I do? Can I self sponsor H1B and what's the procedure?

Applying for jobs with companies that don't or won't sponsor H1B visas is a waste of time & effort. If a US company doesn’t sponsor H1B’s, it means they don’t and won’t sponsor H1B’s - no matter who you are (even if you’re a rocket scientist or look like David Beckham). So go find a company that sponsors H1B.

h1b jobs search tips

  • When you’re conducting your H1B job search, remember, if a US company doesn’t sponsor H1B’s, it means they don’t and won’t sponsor H1B’s, no matter who you are (even if you’re a rocket scientist or look like David Beckham)

So it's very important to invest your time and effort wisely, efficiently and effectively, by targeting and focusing just on jobs and companies that DO and will sponsor H1B visas (at the end of the day, it's an H1B visa you need - so there's absolutely no point wasting time applying to / getting a job with a company that doesn't or won't sponsor H1B's).

Don’t try and hide it - Tell employers from the start that you need an H1B – it will save a lot of time, effort and disappointments in the long run.

  • Don’t expect responses or any type of constructive results

If you just apply to any and all US job ads/listings posted anywhere on the internet – if companies don’t advertise to sponsor H1B’s – then they do not sponsor – so your spinning your wheels and wasting your time and effort applying to them.

  • Don’t assume all US companies sponsor H1B’s (they don’t). Don’t assume all US jobs are available for H1B sponsorship (they’re not)

  • DO Target, focus and apply to jobs that ARE advertised for H1B sponsorship (jobs that clearly state in the advertisement/listing that the job IS available for H1B sponsorship)

From the H1B Sponsoring Companies Database, you could get employers who have sponsored h1b visa before.
